My NVR Viewer Customer Insights

1. Total frustration.Useless as I couldn't find my DVR or connect to it, didn't want to scan the QR code for it to link.It works the first time you add not but then it crashes the next time you load it.No instructions how to use I don't think that's very helpful at allDoesn't deserve a 🌟 not even half of it.

2. And the user agreement forces you to agree for them to have access to EVERYTHINGHorrible app! 2019 version of the surveillance system but app won't work with a "new android"? Too many permissions needed.

3. Cons: The one draw back I have is that amongst my cameras, I still have a couple that only use MJPEG, and this app appears NOT to be able to display the feed for those cameras, unlike my HD H.264 cameras which display just fine.

4. Pity, if the app displayed all my cameras, I would have been really impressed and given 5 Stars.This is probably the worst app I have ever had the pleasure of working with.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix My NVR Viewer Issues

1. Fix My NVR Viewer Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart My NVR Viewer: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the My NVR Viewer App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "My NVR Viewer" » Open My NVR Viewer » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for My NVR Viewer » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear My NVR Viewer app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from My NVR Viewer servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "My NVR Viewer" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check My NVR Viewer app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, My NVR Viewer might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall My NVR Viewer. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall My NVR Viewer then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing My NVR Viewer not working

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make My NVR Viewer be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to My NVR Viewer not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, My NVR Viewer may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
