About AudioKey 2

1. The AudioKey 2 mobile app from MED-EL can be used as a remote control for supported MED-EL audio processors which are SONNET (EAS), SONNET 2 (EAS), and RONDO 3.

2. Additionally, AudioKey 2 lets you customize personal settings, such as the names of programs on the audio processors.

3. You can use the Find My Processor functionality to help locate lost or misplaced audio processors.

4. AudioKey 2 can be used by caregivers to support other users, such as young children.

5. AudioKey 2 also lets you check the usage statistics of the connected audio processors and quickly access helpful support material from MED-EL.

AudioKey 2 Customer Insights

1. This might not be the app's fault, but rather the fault of the audiolink (which is still MedEl).There is 'No audio processor found' I am trying to reboot processors and it doesn't work again.

2. This has happened at VERY inconvenient times and delayed my ability to use it when it was desperately needed.To clarify my previous review, the app claims "audiostream" does not work on android 9 which means I cannot blutooth any sound to my audiolink.

3. Rest of the configuration change is available in the fine runner Echo.Struggling to login app keeps saying "We're sorry, something went wrong when attempting to log in." What now? Update: Thanks for reply, have sent email not heard from you yet.

4. The rotting arrow on the Audio key 2 does not rotate at all.I am upset that my phone Samsung S20 Ultra 5G does NOT support Audiostream nor Audiolink.

5. Other apps have no problems, I've no idea how to change data/time settings or firewall on my mobile phone and a bit reluctant to have to make such changes.

6. Why do we need an app to pair Bluetooth?I just received new Sonnet 2 processors and they will not connect to Audio key 2.

7. Have tried uninstall and reinstall but no joy.Works great with my Android phone, except it sometimes acts like it is new and wants me to sign in again.

8. If you do pair more than one device, you need to switch from one device to the other in the app.

9. In my case, the visual indicator is enough for me to know what's happening, and the beep gets annoying.I was able to pair the app quickly.

10. When I switch from one processor to the other, I always need to re-pair the processor.

11. I use it to avoid carrying a remote control to change programs and volumeI'm SSD and have a Rondo 3 and Sonnett 2.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix AudioKey 2 Issues

1. Fix AudioKey 2 Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart AudioKey 2: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the AudioKey 2 App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "AudioKey 2" » Open AudioKey 2 » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for AudioKey 2 » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear AudioKey 2 app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from AudioKey 2 servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "AudioKey 2" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check AudioKey 2 app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, AudioKey 2 might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall AudioKey 2. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall AudioKey 2 then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing AudioKey 2 not working


2. Fix AudioKey 2 Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make AudioKey 2 be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to AudioKey 2 not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, AudioKey 2 may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
