1. Also, must know exactly where I'm starting and where I am ending! Amazingly I might want a bus stop that has more than one bus that I can take but they might not stop in the same place!! Terrible terrible terrible.Late buses are not reflected in the "live" information, they just drop off the screen so you have no idea if they're still going to come or have disappeared.

2. It can be handy to find out routes when there are multiple different routes using different companies but tried it today for the first time in ages and the timetables are wrong so you have to check with the actual company to see if it's right.

3. Firstly, when I'm looking for buses, the app often calculates the bus in the wrong direction: my 115 pulled up on time... on the other side of the road, heading in the other direction, although I had specifically searched for the other.

4. It's no good if it lists options that don't exist.It's great to finally see an integration of public transport in Ireland but having separate apps for the different functions is not necessary and complicates the process.

5. It's also sent me to the wrong stop for a bus, I would have been going the wrong direction if I hadn't realised.

6. The apps are very useful but it would make more sense to have the real time and journey planner on the same platform.Hi there! I found the app difficult to use.

7. It gives the time a bus should be at a stop but it's not real time so that varies especially for stops mid-route.

8. When I put in a destination and looked at it on d map, I saw these was another bus stop nearer to it but yr app wouldn't let me select it to see what buses go to that stop.

9. They also take Eircode numbers for plotting journeys Give yourself time for delays or mishaps and you will never take a journey in Ireland again without checking this app before.Totally unacceptable.

10. It's very useful at home but if I'm going to somewhere I don't normally and especially if I'm out of town where I don't even know where the nearest bus stop is it's a life saver.

11. Used to be better, has definitely gone downhill.It has become a disappointment in the way it handles trip times for buses, it seems to me that one service overides another which isnt helpful.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Journey Planner Issues

1. Fix Journey Planner Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Journey Planner: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Journey Planner App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Journey Planner" » Open Journey Planner » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Journey Planner » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Journey Planner app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Journey Planner servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Journey Planner" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Journey Planner app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Journey Planner might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Journey Planner. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Journey Planner then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Journey Planner not working


2. Fix Journey Planner Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Journey Planner be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Journey Planner not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Journey Planner may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
