LOCKLY Customer Insights

1. I would not recommend buying this if the plan is to access the lock remotely.Love the Lock, APP is very GLITCHY Went 6-8 months without having access to the camera through the app.

2. I have to manually open the app and wait for it to load or refresh since it just displays a load screen.It does not allow for multiple main admins.The app is a total "meh." Does what it says it does, just not too gracefully.

3. When using the pro version, it should be able to detect that the door is open and not automatically lock.

4. The Vision is super slow to respond to someone ringing the doorbell and, even more annoying, it does not integrate with any smart screen, like all other smart doorbells, other than your phone.

5. I've also noticed that there is a noticeable delay now in actual entry and the notifications to the point that if someone Were trying to break in, then they'd likely Be in or gone by the time I knew about it (if I wasn't near the door).

6. After spending $1,000+ on these 3 locks I am disappointed and would not buy again.I LOVE the lock but the app needs some work.

7. The auto lock feature should start it's countdown once the door is detected as closed.It's an ok app.

8. I've had a couple of instances when, as the door was closing on it's own, the lock automatically locked and the bolt damages my door frame.

9. I wish it had a "Heads up your door has been open for x amount of time" features.

10. However where it seems to fail is with the wifi connection, or wifi hub that connects to it doesn't work.

11. I have wifi cameras, & wifi thermostat, that don't have this problem.Update-after the latest firmware, all changes work.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix LOCKLY Issues

1. Fix LOCKLY Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

  1. Restart LOCKLY: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the LOCKLY App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "LOCKLY" » Open LOCKLY® » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for LOCKLY » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear LOCKLY® app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from LOCKLY servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "LOCKLY®" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check LOCKLY app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, LOCKLY might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall LOCKLY. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall LOCKLY then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing LOCKLY not working

2. Fix LOCKLY Server issues & Internet Connection

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make LOCKLY be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to LOCKLY not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, LOCKLY may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
