Hawaiian Airlines Customer Insights

1. Updates often cause various issues: - freezing - Signing you out, fingerprint sign in not working - Random error messages when trying to check in, etc.The app worked fine for flight check-in, but it's worthless for checking airfare, particularly if you are doing more than one search (e.g., trying different dates, changing airports, etc).

2. Once I had to do it online, but then the app was unable to retrieve a boarding pass (since I already checked on) and on the return trip I used the old app (which somehow never uninstalled with the update!) and as bad as that one is, it worked when the "new and improved!" one couldn't.

3. I tried more than an hour to book my flight and it kept telling me at several points in the process something went wrong and I had to search for the flight again and enter my data again.

4. Also, and my biggest issue right now, is that it says an update is available (which makes the app unusable until updated) but when I click the link to update, there is NO update available! The only option is to open the App, which then tells me an update is available.

5. Using a Samsung Note 8.Tried to check in on flights over the last week, none have worked.

6. When booking flights, passenger info isn't saved, requiring all data to be handy, and consuming the time it takes to complete the transaction.

7. Don't waste your time with this app.The newest update once again is a FAIL! I can no longer easily make flight or seat changes.

8. This app just takes up storage memory and probably made to specifically report back on my phone activity, passwords, searches and such rather than to be of any use to the user.Couldn't log in for weeks on my phone.

9. I tried to book a trip and it asks to open the Internet web page.

10. This is probably the worst update yet.The app is much improved over the old version, but still requires going to the website for too many functions.

11. Follow-up on 2/11: update installed, still cannot log in with the app using either username or Hawaiianmiles #.

1. Fix Hawaiian Airlines Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Hawaiian Airlines: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Hawaiian Airlines App. Here is how:

    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Hawaiian Airlines" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Hawaiian Airlines app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Hawaiian Airlines might not work.
