Chicago Transit Customer Insights

1. The pay app version also needs a PACE bus feature for all the route numbers, destinational directions as well with time & travel anouncements included too.Well works, but the ads are annoying.

2. The ads turn voice in the places that I try to be quiet, and last sometimes for several seconds, when you try to catch the bus, and cannot see the time, before the ad ends.downloaded this for like a week and the past couple of days the trip planner just doesn't work.

3. CTA L train feature needs destinational directions going both ways in Vice Versas with time & travel anouncements just like for the CTA buses.

4. It was so easy to open the trip planner, put in where we wanted to go and it showed us multiple transit options with times and how to get to the closest stop.

5. As well as many other apps, it needs to be updated immediately & frequently as changes are taking place on the whole entire CTA/RTA transit systems.

6. App has not been working for almost a month now.Installed it, looked up one route, then immediately uninstalled.

7. Really? Are you sure? Because my deletion if this app says you're wrong.After a major update, the app stopped working.

8. I've tried using it with and without wifi, clearing the cache, reinstalling the app, and restarting my phone.

9. The trip planner is amazing.

10. We were in town for only one day and purchased an unlimited transit pass for the day.

11. I've no choice but change to another app.App is no longer showing any information, not working at all.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Chicago Transit Issues

1. Fix Chicago Transit Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Chicago Transit: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Chicago Transit App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Chicago Transit" » Open Chicago Transit - CTA » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Chicago Transit » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Chicago Transit - CTA app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Chicago Transit servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Chicago Transit - CTA" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Chicago Transit app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Chicago Transit might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Chicago Transit. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Chicago Transit then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Chicago Transit not working
