1. Depot is a powerful tracker for the buses and trains of the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). - In the mood to bike instead?
2. Photo/Media/Files - The app stores certain CTA data locally on your device so that it does not have to use the internet every time it needs to access that data.
3. All transit data comes directly from the Chicago Transit Authority.
4. Depot Chicago is easy to use, features a sleek design, and does not have any ads.
5. Location - The app uses your location to show you nearby CTA bus stops and train stations.
6. This saves you time and data usage.
1. also some bus tracking is wrong.Downloaded specifically for the widgets which don't keep updatedLet's me know when to expect the bus that is what mattersI love this appRuined by persistent ghost train issues.
2. Also, some stops are missing completely, like the westbound 77 stop at Belmont and Sheffield.I've been using Depot for a few years now, and it's still hands-down the best app for people who know where they're going but just want arrival times.
3. App is now pretty much useless.Love the app, but lately it's not showing arrival times for buses, just saying no buses in next 30 minutes, when there are some coming which show on the map view.
4. Edit: the widgets stop working all the time, which requires rebuilding each widget to fix.
5. I'm only rating this 4 stars now because it seems Android 7's notification system now kills the notification entirely after a couple minutes.
6. You will miss the bus if you depend on this app.Love the desktop widgets.
7. I've built a set of widgets on the home screen that can let me decide what route home will be best at a glance.
8. The ongoing notification is OK, but it's not quick to launch say from a widget.
9. The CTA time tables this app uses are out of date, inaccurate, and unusable.
10. Bummer, its so close.was very helpful, but it still does not find divvy bike info.
11. Thought I was safe as long as a train showed on the map but not true.
