F5 Access Customer Insights

1. After I sign-in, I'd expect the app to be smart enough to connect in the background but this is not the case.Laggy. I have to restart my device in order to connect or disconnect F5 VPN.The app does what it's supposed to do but it doesn't automatically disconnect and gets into a state where you have to uninstall the app to use it again because the connection will just keep spinning with no way to kill it.this app will let Chicago public schools employees login and access their information like payroll and other things.

2. Pls help fixing this.Works OK except its annoying how it frequently gets stuck in "disconnecting" and need to force close the app to get rid of the persistent notification of disconnecting.We use F5 Access with a profile received from Airwatch, the Android version will not receive the proxy settings from our F5s where as the iOS version of this app does receive the proxy settings.

3. It stopped working it allows me to enter my user name and answer my security question (it knows if i put the wrong answer in) yet it does not connect me to the CPS log in page.

4. Every time I want to turn the VPN on, I have to go through my company's security sign-in process (which is fine), and then re-open the F5 app and stare at the circular progress bar until it connects.

5. But several days ago everytime I connect, it couldnt stop disconnecting until days.

6. As a result Android users are not able to access external content when connected to VPN but the iOS users can.Inconsistent and lacks stability.

7. Doesn't get disconnected and close after we end the session.Drops connection and will not auto reconnect.

8. I use this to connect to CPS.

9. You just have to follow your school district and whoever uses this because it's just a great VPN.

10. I re-install to my phone but the problem remains.

11. It routes me right back to the log in page for F51.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix F5 Access Issues

1. Fix F5 Access Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart F5 Access: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the F5 Access App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "F5 Access" » Open F5 Access » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for F5 Access » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear F5 Access app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from F5 Access servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "F5 Access" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check F5 Access app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, F5 Access might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall F5 Access. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall F5 Access then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing F5 Access not working


2. Fix F5 Access Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make F5 Access be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to F5 Access not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, F5 Access may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
