1. In the climate settings, the choice for custom climate doesn't reflect the actual time that I have set although when I go into it it does remember it correctly.

2. Still not sure the Apps benefits unless I would need to remotely start the vehicle from a distance.I wish I would have done more research into the features of the car, but I assumed if it didn't have remote start, it would be available in the app but I don't see anything like that.

3. Biggest issue? It sends you notifications but then, if you want to actually seem them (or do anything with the app) you have to enter your password every.time.you.use.it...that's right no "remember me" option.

4. Google wallet has supported digital keys for a long time now.

6. Maybe a total rewrite of the software should be in order.I rarely care to take the time to review apps - this is one is bad enough to motivate me to do it.

8. Forces you to log in each time and you have to select car each time.It keeps complaining that phone permissions are required.

9. But again, logging in is rather bothersome.Shows the charge level when you last turned off the vehicle instead of the current charge level when you enter the app.

10. It doesn't refresh quickly and when it does the info doesn't match what the car actual says.

11. I was able to get my digital key into Google wallet on my Pixel 6 Pro and it works fine, but I had to use an unsupported method to do it.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Kia Access Issues

1. Fix Kia Access Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Kia Access: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Kia Access App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Kia Access" » Open Kia Access » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Kia Access » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Kia Access app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Kia Access servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Kia Access" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Kia Access app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Kia Access might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Kia Access. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Kia Access then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Kia Access not working


2. Fix Kia Access Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Kia Access be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Kia Access not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Kia Access may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

The app will not open and says "we are currently experiencing an IT service outage that has impacted some internal networks." It has said this for 3 days.

The app has not worked for 3 days, you cannot even get into it.
