1. I usually have to restart the app a dozen times to get it to render a page and even then it's likely to crash again before I reach the end! The sandbox environment of the BlackBerry apps means all links, internal or external, go through Access, so I'm forced to forward emails to my personal account so I can use my normal Android browser for external links!Seriously, please fix your "Set up using Blackberry Work" function.

2. Access opens local storage when uploading files whereas Work and Edit use encrypted local storage.This app has fantastic functionality and awesome features, but it's only as good as your company's mobile team and security/risk policies.

3. The other option of using the authentication key goes to a running wheel and never moves to the next step.Extremely slow and prohibits file sharing across blackberry apps.

4. For instance you cannot attach a file saved via Blackberry Edit in Access.

5. When I click on the SoftToken inside work, 6 out of 10 times it tries to launch this but nothing came out and then redirect me to a company after 2-3 seconds.

6. Horrific on Android! I have been using Access on iPhone for many year.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix BlackBerry Access Issues

1. Fix BlackBerry Access Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart BlackBerry Access: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the BlackBerry Access App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "BlackBerry Access" » Open BlackBerry Access » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for BlackBerry Access » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear BlackBerry Access app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from BlackBerry Access servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "BlackBerry Access" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check BlackBerry Access app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, BlackBerry Access might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall BlackBerry Access. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall BlackBerry Access then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing BlackBerry Access not working


2. Fix BlackBerry Access Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make BlackBerry Access be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to BlackBerry Access not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, BlackBerry Access may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
