Why should I report an Issue with Smart Lens - Text Scanner OCR?

1. In my phone, the text frame isn't correctly adjusted to the screen (it exceeds the screen border and makes some words/letters hidden from the screen).In 'Settings' select 'Always use Offline Detector' otherwise this app gives an error message: "Server error (or extremely busy)! Switched to Offine Mode".

While many people complain for many months about this problem the creators of this app don't seem to care to solve this problem.The app is so good , and I like the accuracy , it's not a 100% but it's tolerable ,, I would like to have the ability to use the OCR on several photos at a time , this is the only feature that is missing and what prevents me from rating it with 5 stars , even if batch conversation would take more time to be processed I Don't mind it , because it would just save so much time and effort .. Hopefully the developer implements it in the future ...Disappointing. The potential for this app was infinite but unless you are willing to pay $10+ for the pro version then it's basically useless.

Unless you wanna pay $10 for the premium features (now knowing there are comparable applications that provide them for free) then don't waste ur time.Again the very same problem just like with the other text to scan app..This app can scan vertically but it can't do the same effectively while scanning a horizontal one.

4. My only suggestion is to fix the text screen after you touch the "Text" button in automatic mode.

5. Great for reading foreign text and looking up words.

6. However TEXT SCANNER is overall the exact same application and provides all of the features while allowing unlimited uses.

7. Nevertheless, if used offline this app recognises scanned text perfectly and translates them perfectly to any language.

8. But now, it always says "Server busy" and does not scan individual words, the scan is just a jumble of meaningless character.

9. Before, it was super, scanned in a few seconds and produced very accurate text.

10. Paid .Accepted. Now only get text .boxes no way to take a photoIncredible OCR performance.

1. Fix Smart Lens Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Smart Lens: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Smart Lens App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Smart Lens" » Open Smart Lens - Text Scanner OCR » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Smart Lens » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Smart Lens - Text Scanner OCR app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Smart Lens servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Smart Lens - Text Scanner OCR" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Smart Lens app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Smart Lens might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Smart Lens. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Smart Lens then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Smart Lens not working

2. Fix Smart Lens Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Smart Lens be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Smart Lens not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Smart Lens may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
