AutomateIt Customer Insights

1. Has problems with turning off WiFi when out of range, and trigging Bluetooth rules incorrectly when multiple connections exist (like a smartwatch and a car at the same time), but I suspect that has to do with things outside of the app's control.Edit: I was able to make an action active during only during a certain time window by having two dedicated helper actions that turned it on and off at specific times.

2. Wrote support and weeks later no reply so uninstalling and give a suitable ratingThe location trigger doesn't automatically work unless I use my phone which defeats the purpose as I wanted it to send an sms when I'm within the vicinity.

3. I need things like those to really have a smart phone instead of a dumb one xDWith the last update, what it does is appear a notification telling me about the action I set, and I have to click it for the action to be actioned (sorry for my English).

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix AutomateIt Issues

1. Fix AutomateIt Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart AutomateIt: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the AutomateIt App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "AutomateIt" » Open AutomateIt - Smart Automation » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for AutomateIt » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear AutomateIt - Smart Automation app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from AutomateIt servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "AutomateIt - Smart Automation" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check AutomateIt app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, AutomateIt might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall AutomateIt. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall AutomateIt then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing AutomateIt not working


2. Fix AutomateIt Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make AutomateIt be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to AutomateIt not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, AutomateIt may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
