TaxPass Customer Insights

1. Now you have to print out and take pictures of all of your tax documents???Can't change the tax information if you no longer want to use the previous tax provider and I have attempted to register with another email and I have yet to receive the pin to move forward with registration.I was able to create an account but now everytime i log in , it doesnt do anything.

2. Android Galaxy S21Does this app work for Android phones? I'm having the same issue as others I've seen who complained about not being able to login.

3. Small things like that would help.Just another android user with a Samsung phone who cannot get past the login screen.

4. The developers need to fix this problem.Created an account, it says I need to verify with a pin that they email to me.

5. I typed in my login information, changed my password, uninstalled and redownloaded and it still wont work.

6. Avoid this app unless they fix the issue.Lack of PDF support (plus many other factors) shows this app is built by people who have no clue what they're doing and certainly is not remotely reassuring.

7. I have double & triple checked spelling on email, spam box, etc... no email to verify account.

8. It just stays on the login screen.App doesn't work.

9. This app has worked in previous tax years so I'm guessing with new updates either via app or android, has prevented the it from working properly now.

10. They probably have all my info in a poorly secured database with a default access passwordUser friendly enough, but it could use some polish.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix TaxPass Issues

1. Fix TaxPass Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart TaxPass: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the TaxPass App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "TaxPass" » Open TaxPass » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for TaxPass » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear TaxPass app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from TaxPass servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "TaxPass" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check TaxPass app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, TaxPass might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall TaxPass. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall TaxPass then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing TaxPass not working


2. Fix TaxPass Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make TaxPass be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to TaxPass not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, TaxPass may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
