djay Customer Insights

1. In the future I'd love to see -the ability to sort music by Key/BPM -the ability to analyze device audio for Key/BPM Those are the only 2 major features this this app is missing for me.

2. Whenever I play anything, the audio is FULL of clicking and stuttering (even when I play stuff from the SD card on my phone.) It's even worse when I try to use an effect, loop, or the high/low pass filter.

3. Since this is a free ap, it still gives quite the variety of features in order to keep the user coming back to the app, which gives it a high replayability rate in my personal opinion.

4. Another issue that I encounter is the do not reset function for the equalizer does not work even if disabled in the general settingsGreat when it works... I use this with a DDJ-200 on both my phone and tablet.

5. I am using a Galaxy Z flip 4 w/ 8gb RAM.In terms of what I think of this app, I would say that it's performance is phenominal, with exceptional control of most of the music that I possess.

6. I had my phone on focus mode, airplane mode, i turned off basically the entire phone to keep just the app playing and it still crashed.

7. I produce music and love playing music and I have played within that 3 hour period it crashed like 4 or 5 times.

8. It says it's updated but I will redownload it and update if anything is fixed..Good basic functions, missing big features.

9. And maybe some fresher sound effects but other then that it's super simple haven't had a problem finding a song yet.

10. And my final gripe is that as of July 1st, you will no longer have access to your Spotify account through the app.I have been using the DJay app for a while now and I like its simplicity.

11. You'll find that you don't have access to changing the key of any song on the screen where you change speed.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix djay Issues

1. Fix djay Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart djay: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the djay App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "djay" » Open djay - DJ App & Mixer » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for djay » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear djay - DJ App & Mixer app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from djay servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "djay - DJ App & Mixer" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check djay app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, djay might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall djay. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall djay then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing djay not working


2. Fix djay Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make djay be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to djay not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, djay may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
