7. ProTip: When in "Hot" zone you are incredibly close! If you are looking for something in tall grass/brush, get down on ground level and move phone around to set you in the right direction.

8. The dexcom transmitter that I was in the process of trying to find only puts out a very weak signal and only for a second or two every 5 minutes.

9. I tried to use phone that was paired to locate it, which is not ideal.

10. When it's right next to your bluetooth device, it doesn't fill the signal bar up all the way, but it will still say you're"hot" relative to the device.

11. I lost my wallet with a tracker inside in my house and this app narrowed it down to the exact location in my house the wallet was.I've never left a review for an app ever.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Find My Device Issues

1. Fix Find My Device Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Find My Device: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Find My Device App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Find My Device" » Open Find My Device - Finder For Lo » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Find My Device » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Find My Device - Finder For Lo app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Find My Device servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Find My Device - Finder For Lo" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Find My Device app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Find My Device might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Find My Device. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Find My Device then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Find My Device not working


2. Fix Find My Device Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Find My Device be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Find My Device not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Find My Device may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
