1. Auth0 Guardian is a mobile app that can deliver push notifications to a user’s pre-registered device (typically a mobile phone or tablet) from which a user can immediately allow or deny account access via the press of a button.
2. Note for developers: Auth0 Guardian is one of the multi factor authentication options that can be used within the Auth0 identity platform ( ).
3. It can also generate one-time passwords if that is preferred.
4. You can enable it with a single switch.
5. You don’t have to change your apps to start supporting multi factor authentication.
1. Code expires too quickly, then you get locked out and need to add a new account to Guardian, but every time I try to delete the old accounts, or edit them, the app crashes! Please fix.The app worked great until I chnged phones, transferring the app to my new phone.
2. Can't even choose to email a reset code. This does not work and there is no tech help! i installed the app on my phone and then went to my desktop to get the authorization.
3. The whole waiting time takes over 1 minute. It's a great app, but it would be nice it allowed to export accounts OTP data as a backup (for example, in a KeePass-compatible format) in case of phone damage.
4. on my desktop a QR code appeared, the app on my phone started the camera and had a line square in the picture, which I held over the QR code on my desktop screen.
5. Zero reset menu, don't ever lose your phone, get a new phone, or forget your password.
6. My company slapped this on top of a desktop app we already can't access without logging into our workstations with secure password & ANOTHER mfa app, then logging into the desktop app with a 14 character mixed case alphanumeric plus symbols password.
7. By the time the push notification shows up I would already opened OTP app and entered password couple of times.
8. Oh...and zero phone, email or chat support.
9. I am on the road in the day time so when a trouble ticket/email is submitted we have to wait until the next day for a response, which we cannot read until the evening, to find out the system still does not work.
10. Don't ever lose your phone, get a new phone, or forget your password.
11. There is zero phone or chat support.
