1. The app thinks I'm in the restricted hours as it's not connected to the internet, but the pathetically poor app design prevents me from connecting it to the internet, softlocking my device forever.

2. i'm currently completely locked in mobile guardian with no way to leave it because i pressed "forget network" right before mobile guardian decided to kick in and because it needs the internet to leave the app i can't do anything as i don't have access to at the very least, settings! i have alot of frustration building up for this app.

3. Just because I happened to have my Internet connection reset during the sleep hours, the program thought that I was still in the restricted hours even during the daytime.

4. I happened to have my internet connection reset and my device was unable to connect to the internet automatically.

5. If you so happen to be forced to download this trash software, I do empathise with you.biggest problem with this app is that it still locks/restricts the device even after restriction hours.

6. So if you got some sketchy internet connection, don't expect to get any work done, because this joke of an app will repeatedly block and unblock the webpages that you have.

7. Terrible website blocking, useless bedtime blocking that needs a restart to fix the next day, and blocks websites when you go offline.

8. Next,some sites which I have to use for my studies just keeps getting restricted and sometimes it just crashes my device.

9. Server glitches are frequent, (not to mention glitches in their design) including one which locked me out of my IPad for 2 days straight.

10. of course it happens only half the time, but it's still troublesome when you're working on something and the app you're using suddenly locks itself.Waste of time setting up and still unable to link PLD.

11. It just deletes the app which was restricted and even after the time frame which I set for myself, the app doesn't come back and I have to reinstall it.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Issues

1. Fix Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart : Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "" » Open Mobile Guardian » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Mobile Guardian app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Mobile Guardian" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall . If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing not working


2. Fix Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
