1. Plenty of other home monitoring systems (doorbell cameras, security systems, nest protect smoke alarms, etc.) can sync data without tracking your phone's location.
2. However, if you have multiple devices, you can't see all your device information on a single screen (and for some reason, the web view version has a more useful UI than the app).
3. Lack of WiFi is not an app issue, just a shortcoming of the device, so not going to deduct stars for that.Forces always on location sharing for no reason.
4. Mine worked fine for months and suddenly disappeared the day I was prompted to enable always on location.Terrible App and device design (the "View Plus").
5. I would be open to trying one of their newer devices if they have fixed the issues this device has but I won't spend another penny.Latest version just crashes.
6. The reason for 1 star off is it still takes a while to communicate and sync, but it has never fails to do so (which the previous version would fail about half the time).Horrible experience.
7. During setup where you need to "Add Device", it doesn't allow you to connect to a WiFi router that doesn't broadcast its SSID.
8. Especially if it had built in wifi or could connect to echo dot.I was hesitant to buy the Airthings Wave based on the app's poor reviews, however my experience so far has been much better than expected.
9. Says it's a Bluetooth LE requirement, but the app pulls data from the cloud, not the device.
10. Wild swings and some things got worse when the window was open. It's ridiculous that the user should have to have location permission for the app turned on all the time.
11. Worse, it strong arms you by hiding historical data if always on location access isn't enabled.
