1. I went through all the convoluted steps, links and alternate routes when another didn't work, and always got the same result.Have had a few Mirabella devices for a couple years now and have worked with minimal issue, however the latest update keeps coming up with a popup about if the apps integrity test fails it'll close which it does everytime straight away.

2. It does just as good a job as the Philips Hue app without the need for a bridge so I recommend getting Mirabella lightbulbs and this app at the supermarket.An error started popping up saying "if the apps integrity check fails, it will quit automatically" then closes the app! Now I can't use the monitor! Please respond.

3. Rating adjusted accordingly.Been fantastic! Have used daily for the last 5 years and never had a problem, turn on instantly, schedule lighting works quickly and everytime is efficient! I have multiple different types on the device even xmas lights, only thing is they don't have the stick xmas lights with star on top as an option which I have had for 2 years.

4. As in, it fails its "integrity check" on startup EVERY TIME and shuts down, so I cannot access, let alone control, my lighting in any way.

5. Just keeps showing "If the app's integrity check fails, it will close automatically" and closing.

8. I bought a mirabella genio light bulb.

10. You all should be ashamed.The app suddenly stopped working today, it crashes within 10 seconds of trying to open the app every single time.

11. What gives? Now I have cameras and lights I can't control outside of what the Google home app can do.Wish the home screen widgets can be customised.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Genio Issues

1. Fix Genio Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Genio: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Genio App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Genio" » Open Genio » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Genio » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Genio app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Genio servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Genio" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Genio app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Genio might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Genio. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Genio then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Genio not working


2. Fix Genio Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Genio be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Genio not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Genio may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
