1. But I wonder how people fare if the have less free storage on their mobiles than I have? And yes I know that one can delete the data in storage, but that should happen automatically after the contact trace data has expired. Was crashing after the update, but uninstall and install again helped! Otherwise pretty good, now that the automatic handshake is possible! It has a strong focus on dataprotection and seems easy to use.
2. Also the self check is nice! Excited for the announcement to make it open source, then it will get my 5th starThe app keeps sending me notifications that I have been in contact with a covid positive person but when i click on it, the app opens and says that there is no risk and I have had no contacts.
3. After more than a year, my app has accumulated more than 8GB os data in storage: App itself is only some 17.57 MB Data is 8.93 GB Version of the app is 2.14.1247-QA_266 I wonder if that can be improved as I use other apps from other countries and none of them has ever went beyond some 100MB of storage for data.
4. Kudos! Why does it need access to the microphone? You have to *remember* to open it every time you meet someone, ask if they have it and then manually activate the diary.
5. The display of encounters has been removed in the last version, so there seems to be no way to find out if it is working. The idea of the app is good and has now auto handshake.
6. This is bad if somebody trusts that the app is on and doesn't check app before making a contact.I appreciate the idea, but since the update it just crashes on the start.
7. Why does it need access to microphone?! Thanks for the response, but I highly doubt that you need the microphone to do the hand shake, Bluetooth or NFC should be more than enough for this.
8. I had not a single contact to any other app during an approx 3 week timespan, so I'm pretty unsure about the effectiveness.
9. As a software engineer I'd like to thank you for making the app open-source, switching to Google's framework, and especially for responding so well to feedback from various privacy rights groups and implementing their recommendations.
10. Maybe in 2021 they have a useful app..I have had this app on my mobile petty much since version 1.0 and I wonder if there is a need to modify the app.
11. We don't need microphone to make wireless payments, for instance.Wrote a 1* review in March and tested the app again.
