1. Providing use of the Paper Trading API is not an offer or solicitation to buy or sell securities, securities derivative or futures products of any kind, or any type of trading or investment advice, recommendation or strategy, given or in any manner endorsed by AlpacaDB, Inc. or any AlpacaDB, Inc.
2. You should know that margin trading involves interest charges and risks, including the potential to lose more than deposited or the need to deposit additional collateral in a falling market.
3. Before using margin, customers must determine whether this type of trading strategy is right for them given their specific investment objectives, experience, risk tolerance, and financial situation.
4. Commission Free trading means that there are no commission charges for Alpaca self-directed individual cash brokerage accounts that trade U. S. listed securities through an API.
5. The Paper Trading API is offered by AlpacaDB, Inc. and does not require real money or permit a user to transact in real securities in the market.
6. System response and account access times may vary due to a variety of factors, including trading volumes, market conditions, system performance, and other factors.
7. A more complete description of the impact these factors may have can be found in our risks of automated trading systems section.
8. These disclosures contain information on Alpaca’s lending policies, interest charges, and the risks associated with margin accounts.
9. This is not an offer, solicitation of an offer, or advice to buy or sell securities, or open a brokerage account in any jurisdiction where Alpaca is not registered (Alpaca is registered only in the United States).
10. You should also monitor for instances where your automated trading system experiences anomalies that could result in errant, missing, or duplicated orders.
11. Market prices, data and other information available through Alpaca are not warranted as to completeness or accuracy and are subject to change without notice.
1. I wouldn't suggest anyone put real money on the line using Alpaca until they improve their platforms and apps.Alpaca is the only way to trade stocks commision free with algorithms in the US, making participation feasible for small traders.
2. It only allows you to see your list of current positions with no details and the only action it allows you take is liquidate all your positions as an emergency action.
3. Great otherwise :-)I like the option of liquidating funds, but I would prefer to just be able to place orders on alpaca through web browser.
4. Being able to supplement the algorithms with manual trades or make trades in light of unexpected market shifts in coding is big.
5. I have what I would consider to be low standards for what a trading app should do for me, so it just shows how much this app doesn't do, but easily could do if they invested into it.This app is extremely limited, and even the few features don't work well (or not at all).
6. It now shows a blank screen for all tabs except "Emergency."Please add a button so I can easily go between live and paper without having to re-authenticate.
7. I frequently see NaN or other nonsense when checking my held (paper) positions.
8. It's the least useful mobile companion for a trading platform I've ever seen.
9. You can only see the daily changes wich is useless. The mobile app seems to be broken.
10. Lots of resources elsewhere for news, tech and fundamentals.Application has basic functionality.
11. I have high hopes, keep the development coming!Would be nice if it had a graph for the day like the web dashboard.
