Clover Go Customer Insights

1. Orders from other devices are not showing in the reporting, you still can't adjust sales tax rates inside the app, the menu on the bottom is way too split up, items that have recently been added to inventory require an app restart (and not page refresh) to see...I nearly lost two sales the first time I booted this turd up at the farmer's market due to these problems.This new version of the "app" is terrible.

2. Why does it have to be landscape only and why the BIG ICONS instead of a list?!?These layouts should be options so one can choose the preferred one!!! We have many items and now we need to scroll so down and down just to select one of them!! Also, when trying to enter a new user the Captcha screen, in landscape mode, does not scroll down on the tablet so we cannot access the Verify button and are totally stuck.How did you manage to make it worse?! Clover was already frustrating and tedious to deal with, now with the updated app that's required for the new, expensive card reader, it's basically impossible to use.

3. Just why?! I think it's time to switch to a different company.App was working ok but about a few months ago, I'm having issues login in to the app, after putting in my username and password, it says please restart the app.

4. On top of receiving an email saying that my monthly rate will soon be increasing, this new app STILL can't handle the fact that some of us travel to different locations and need to tax our sales differently.

5. Being able to quickly look at total sales over the past two weeks was exactly the type of quick insight I wanted from the app.This is a huge move backwards for an app that was once at least half-functional.

6. It is extremely tedious to change tax rates on every single item, every single time we're in a new location.

7. Need to have separate settings maybe for someone who has no inventory and sales tax and other things.

8. It happens very frequently, almost 90% of the time but there is no issue when logging in on the desktop (computer) only on my cell phone.

9. There is no refund option or memo to make an adjustment on taking a check, so I will probably have to pay sales tax on a sale that was not made.

10. Looks like I'll have to find a different merchant company who has a cleaner, faster system.Absolutely the worst app I've ever dealt with.

11. I used to really like Clover.Terrible software! Can not cancel a transaction or get help because the poor service agent was unable to fix the glitch.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Clover Go Issues

1. Fix Clover Go Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Clover Go: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Clover Go App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Clover Go" » Open Clover Go - Dashboard & POS » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Clover Go » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Clover Go - Dashboard & POS app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Clover Go servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Clover Go - Dashboard & POS" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Clover Go app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Clover Go might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Clover Go. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Clover Go then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Clover Go not working


2. Fix Clover Go Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Clover Go be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Clover Go not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Clover Go may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
