It should also have an 'OK' button for confirmation of the pin, which it doesn't.**after 3 months** still works perfectly and has made my connection easier :) So much easier We installed the app on the laptops, but when working outside the office we would open our session unconnected to go get the app.. Being able to open the key on my phone and using it on my laptop before opening my session is a huge timesaver!Probably the worst app I have ever tried.

2. And the two second limit makes it impossible anyway!What an irony ! Generally three consecutive wrongs attempts lead to locking of application but in this one, after first mistake if you made second wrong entry even after months of successful entries, this is considered as 2 wrong attempts.

3. If they could have provided the dark mode that will be good..... Hey, developer, please consider and make availability of dark mode and PIN number visibility to avoid the wrong pin number or lock.Not as good as RSA token.

4. This problem affects security (custom keaboard apps can potentially remember your pin) and usability - it's too easy to make a mistake during entering your pin.

5. I seriously hope my employer doesn't pay for this service as it's absolutely shocking!Though they may say challenge response is valid only for 2 secs it is valid for more time.

6. I wish my work chose RSA token app as I've never had issues with that app in the past.Will not enroll on a laptop - auto-enrollment fails every single time.

7. So many times have I used the token to find out it was incorrect and needed to be refreshed even though the radio button to refresh was unavailable at the time.

8. It's absolutely appalling that an app which is needed for something as important as banking is as broken as this, what on earth is Citi thinking? I'd quite frankly expect better from a credit union never mind an international bank.

9. However, as many other reviewers have noted, the one time pass code is valid for a whole 2 seconds.

10. 1Password app was the worst app I've come across but SafeNet is now the worst.This app does not have a build-in numeric keyboard for entering pin.

11. Especially, when your opening and entering the PIN number, it doesn't have options to see what we are entering or entered.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix SafeNet Issues

1. Fix SafeNet Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart SafeNet: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the SafeNet App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "SafeNet" » Open SafeNet MobilePASS » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for SafeNet » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear SafeNet MobilePASS app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from SafeNet servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "SafeNet MobilePASS" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check SafeNet app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, SafeNet might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall SafeNet. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall SafeNet then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing SafeNet not working


2. Fix SafeNet Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make SafeNet be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to SafeNet not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, SafeNet may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
