So the simplest one (the calling process) doesn't need frequent updates, and can make sure the updated server (more complex) process is running.Works very well but when using with Windows or Linux sever without the paid version of this client, you will have to watch a 30 sec ad-video (which I feel is quite long) every time you connect or even re-connect a few minutes later.

7. side note to those getting flags from antiviruses: the server that recieves commands needs to pass these commands into the operating system, which is automatically flagged by anitvirus as usually a trojan (because trojans have a thing for remote input).

8. ** Edit 11 Feb 2020 ** Now reports that no longer recognizes license, and won't connect again despite server and client being g on same wifi network, and no 4G.

9. ive personally decompiled both server (Linux) and android client and have found nothing malicious, and encourage others to do the same.

11. We should of been credited toward the ad free droidmote.First i'll say this is a great app, it does what it says for the most part.

1. Fix DroidMote Client Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart DroidMote Client: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the DroidMote Client App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "DroidMote Client" » Open DroidMote Client » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for DroidMote Client » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear DroidMote Client app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from DroidMote Client servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "DroidMote Client" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check DroidMote Client app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, DroidMote Client might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall DroidMote Client. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall DroidMote Client then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing DroidMote Client not working

2. Fix DroidMote Client Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make DroidMote Client be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to DroidMote Client not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, DroidMote Client may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
