1. The codes always regenerate after a day or two and there's so much issues with the call quality and camera not working and the screen recording is so intrusive even when you press no or pause or stop Nd it shares way more info then it should and then it claims. This doesn't work on Android.
2. iOS gets a slightly better experience, but this is unusable for user testing. The recording stopped without possibility of resuming anytime my phone screen went to sleep mode or perhaps at the moment when I pushed button to wake it up.
3. It's also frustrating not to be able to have a chat function in the platform, as when these issues happen it means I have to fiddle around with email, which can often have a long delay and end up wasting most of my interview time.
4. I just did a research call using this app and other than one screen that was a little bit confusing, the app worked very very well on my Android phone.
5. Realistically the rating is probably more like a 2.5, but I've rounded up because I truly do believe the concept is a great one, and if these issues were fixed it would be amazing. This shouldn't be used for Research testing purposes until the issues are fixed.
6. However, when it works, it is—without a doubt—one of the best solutions out there for remote and in-person end-to-end user testing.Worst app ever! Stick to zoom or teams or some other platform.
7. Very disappointing as it ultimately precluded me from participating in the session. The makers of this app haven't paid enough attention to the Android version of the Participate client, and definitely not optimized it for non-North American regions.
8. I restarted my phone, reinstalled the app and even tested the app on my husband's phone but encountered the same issue each time.
9. Lookback has some great features, but it's truly frustrating to use like 70% of the time, for both the participant and the researcher.
10. Still showed the possibility to upload at least.Absolute waste of time, you try and begin a session and it just closes the app.
11. The interviewer seemed to be able to see my screen and my camera at the same time.
