About eCourts Services

1. Simply by entering the CNR one can get the current status and details of the case. • Case Status can be searched by various options like Case Number, Party Name, Filing Number, FIR Number, Advocate Name, Relevant Act of the Case and Case Type. • Initial search result of case status is displayed with Case Number and names of parties. • Once link of case number is clicked current case status and entire history of the case is displayed with expandable view captions. o Case Details caption shows information of Case Type, Filing Number, Filing Date, Registration Number, Registration Date and CNR Number. o Case Status Option shows information of First Hearing Date, Next Hearing Date, State of Case, Court Number and Designation of Judge. o Expandable view captions viz.

One can select another date to see the cases listed on selected date. • Refresh button is given adjacent to Today’s Cases to update the information saved under My Cases. • If any case is not updated or refreshed because of connection issue, App will show this information as “connection error”. • Cause List option generates cause list of selected Court. o By using Import option data can be restored in My cases tab.

Once Bar Code of any advocate registered with system is entered, it generates list of all cases wherein his name is tagged with the case. • Date Case List is unique cause list option which generates cause list all cases of Advocate listed before all courts in the Complex. • Litigant or Lawyer can save all cases of interest, which will be shown under My Cases tab.

4. Search by CNR, Case Status, Cause List,calendar and My Cases. • CNR is unique number assigned to each case filed in District and Taluka Courts in the Country, through Case Information System.

Petitioner and Advocate, Respondent and Advocate, Acts, History of Case Hearing, Judgment and Order, Transfer Details can be viewed when user clicks any of these expandable captions. o The “History of Case Hearing” caption shows entire history of the case from first date of hearing to current date of hearing.

6. When we click date of hearing shown in the form of link, it will show business recorded on clicked date. o Judgment and Order caption shows links of all judgments and orders passed and uploaded in the selected case.

7. Once a case is added, the button changes its appearance and caption to Saved Case. • In the option named Advocate under Case Status, information can be searched by name of Advocate or his bar Code.

8. This helps them to create and manage Portfolio of their cases or Personal Case Diary for further use. • Today’s Cases button shown under My Cases tab provides facility to view only today’s listed cases from all cases saved under My Cases.

9. Link of the Judgment and order can be clicked to view the same. o “Add Case” button can be seen while viewing the case history, on the top right corner “.

10. • The App provides information related to Cases filed in the Subordinate courts and most of the High Courts in the country. • One can use this exclusively for District Courts or High Court or both.

eCourts Services Customer Insights

1. I used to frequently use the said option to immediately get tot hw case details ,but now I have to manually go through the whole list of cases manually.I don't know why but from so many months now this app showing error, no details in state and other columns.

2. Most of the time when you try to select the case type or court complex, either it would just keep on showing the 'loading' animation or it just won't show list of case types or court complexes! If these issues are fixed, only then I would be able to say this app is truly helpful.App is not able to use.

3. I like this app, it is very convineint, the features like cause list, case status makes it very easy for Advocates to know about the cases but there's alot of need to improve like it needs full speed internet otherwise won't work.

4. But for the past 2 months the search option in "my cases" is not working, in my Samsung Note 10 Lite device, whereas the same feature is working on my friends devices.

5. I am using this for almost 6 months now and for the 3rd time in about every 2 months or so the app stops updating and displays that "server is busy" and it starts working only when you either reinstall it or clear previous data.

6. Developing team should have a look into this.I don't know why but from so many months now this app showing error, no details in state and other columns.

9. If itches are solved, it may become good app.Excellent, and when using this app in Samsung phones, it is a bit and If this app can be improved, enabling individual centric would be very helpful.

10. I hope admins resolve the issue as soon as possible,It is very slow and that affects our time when we need to check the content.

11. And this app deletes the saved cases when same id is used in two phone it save onely one phone data when exported/imported replaces the old data.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix eCourts Services Issues

1. Fix eCourts Services Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart eCourts Services: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the eCourts Services App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "eCourts Services" » Open eCourts Services » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for eCourts Services » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear eCourts Services app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from eCourts Services servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "eCourts Services" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check eCourts Services app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, eCourts Services might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall eCourts Services. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall eCourts Services then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing eCourts Services not working


2. Fix eCourts Services Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make eCourts Services be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to eCourts Services not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, eCourts Services may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
