Irish Times ePaper Customer Insights

1. Can no longer rate app at 5*.When I try to read today's paper on my Samsung Galaxy A40 a message comes up warning me that I am about to download a file over a mobile network and asking me 'do I wish to proceed? (or similar wording)... Yes, I do, but there is no button or other icon for me to press to indicate approval... Touching the screen does nothing either...So I need to exit the app (until I get home and can access over WiFi)Been using this app happily for years on an Android 6 lenovo tab but in the last month, app crashes when i move a couple of pages which is very irritating.

2. It needs to get sorted shortly or else I will downgrade my subscription to App only as there's no point paying for something that doesn't work.I've been using the app for a couple of years without any problem( gladly giving it 5 stars).

3. Hit and miss downloading the epaper - this app was great, click the paper and it downloaded but that's stopped for a week and now it's hit and miss - someone downloading, sometimes not.

4. Latest news takes ages to download and seems to include both old and núew articles in no particular order All articles have same timestamp.

5. its been over a month now, how long does it take to fix a bug?Recent problems with epaper on Android phone.

6. I also have an iPad & read the paper there & it works perfect on IOS so this is only a problem for Android.

7. It goes through the whole very slow download again.used to work fine but after an update it now won't scroll down a page.

8. Crosswords are also unavailable on the mobile app version - a serious and long-term oversight from the Irish Times. This app has stopped working.

9. completely useless app now! remove this version (which does not work) and replace it with the previous version (which did work).

10. However, an apparent update in the last week means I can no longer view printed page layout.

11. So it could make the ads easier to enlarge but that might defeat the purpose! However the app was updated in 2022 leading to weeks of frustration when little or nothing worked but as of today 8 August 2022 - everything works perfectly.
