1. OnePlus should really reconsider not using the high brightness mode of the samsung displays they're using because folks it is a game changer regarding outdoors readability.After clicking high brightness mode slider it goes on then off and the screen is dimmer as it turns the brightness down to about 40% when off.

When turned off, it decreases brightness, so that it look like it does something when you turn it on again and it puts brightness back to the max level of the phone, but not any higher.Super basic app easy to follow, worked on my son's old Samsung Galaxy tab a, my TCL 10 5G and my other son's brand new Google pixel 6 which it worked on that one the best.

Not sure if it's any brighter (phone is not rooted) but it's nice because my screen has an issue where it won't unlock at low brightness levels, If I hit the High Brightness widget before locking or powering off, it comes back up in full brightness.Absolutely useless app taking money out of your pocket! When you turn it on, it doesn't increase brightness at all.
4. To me that spells fake app, it turns my brightness down to give the illusion its turning it up when its doing nothing at all.Makes no difference to using ordinary screen brightness settings.
5. With my Android phones, if I have the brightness turned down while indoors, the screen becomes completely unreadable when I go outdoors into bright sunlight.

8. I can't even see the brightness slider in order to make the screen visible.
9. I think the high brightness mode of the total is simply your device's preset and not a boosted level.
10. The difficulty there was effecting yhe change in a way that would feel natural as an extension of the built-in auto brightness algorithm.
11. When i click it again yes the brightness goes up but thats because its going from 40% to the original 100%.
