1. Even if set to AMOLED, it will drive the brightness all the way up far beyond normal setting, allowing screen burn in, which now damaged my phone.
2. I need to several times apply the same screen brightness to particular ambient light to get the setting saved.
3. I almost never need to adjust the brightness ever again! And saves battery of course! Only downside is it can be complicated to use, with a lot of settings, but as a power user I appreciate the app not dumbing down features. It's trash.
4. What you want: an app that will automatically dim your screen more than Android's retina-searing auto brightness.
5. The only thing missing is controlling the Always On Display brightness the same way the screen does.
6. Ok if I had to say something negative, is that there's a few too many questions on install, I accept them all as the defaults are fine. After tuning the brightness over a day's usage it becomes perfect for each device I've used.
7. Velis Auto Brightness has fixed a lot of the factory functions and despite looking complex was easy to use and very effective out of the box.
8. App will sometimes lock itself from interaction in notification bar, preventing applying custom brightness setting and only reboot can solve it.
9. I rwcommend checking alternative app.Using on a HTC 10 which has seemingly slow auto brightness.
10. I'm yet to have an Android where the default Auto brightness works.
11. I uninstalled the app, and now I can't control the brightness on my phone(through settings, quicksettings, or even tasker).
