About Floating Brightness Control

1. Floating Brightness Control adds a brightness level bar overlay to your screen that is always on top of other apps.

2. If the bar is too big for your taste, try the brightness trigger instead - a smaller configurable "tap target" that allows you to use the screen space above and below as slider for the brightness level!

3. Further settings include automatically adding the bar when rebooting the device, adding an indicator showing the current display brightness and styling the look of the indicator.

4. This allows you to change the display brightness instantly without interrupting what you are doing, like watching a movie or playing a fullscreen game.

5. Negative brightness values can optionally be allowed and add a dim color overlay with adjustable color and intensity.

6. The overlay permission may cause secure actions like installing apps or granting permissions to fail on some Android versions - sadly without any indication by Android why.

7. If you experience this strange behavior you can pause Floating Brightness Control using the "Pause for 2 minutes" button on the main settings screen and perform the secure actions.

Floating Brightness Control Customer Insights

1. Great options available too! My only request to the developer would be to allow the negative brightness to cap out at negative 100% for the times when users might want the screen to be full dark while an app is still running, to save battery on OLED screens. This is one of my favorite widgets but it hasn't been working completely correctly since the Nov 2021 Android update.

2. App kept interfering so badly with other apps that i could no longer take the frustration and shut it off! FIX!Fantastic! This should be part of the stock Android options! I can't believe how long I've had to live with pulling down the notification tray twice every time I want to adjust brightness.

3. Hopefully an update is planned because I haven't found another app that works like this one does.Kept me from returning my new phone! I just got a Sony Xperia 1 iii because I hate screen notches/hole punches, and this display and speakers are great.

4. Thanks!Excellent! I'm running Android 10 on a OnePlus 7T, and this is the only app I have found which actually knows how to turn the brightness up to full 100%.

5. But after starting to use the phone, I discovered Sony's automatic brightness control is useless, it's so bad the screen constantly goes dark and bright when you try to use it.

6. Glad I found this replacement - an on-screen brightness control is a great thing to have.

7. One thing I would *LOVE* to see in the next update is an opacity setting for the brightness bar, similar to the opacity setting of the indicator.

8. My only suggestion, I would prefer to have a widget which I could put on my home screen, which I could tap to cycle through the brightness steps I have setup.

9. I'm not sure why we have to pay for a separate program to get this feature, but I'm glad that this one exists and was happy to pay the $0.99.I had an app that did exactly this on another phone, but it seems to have been removed from the play store.

10. This makes it so easy to adjust brightness from anywhere, any app, I can turn off auto brightness control completely.

11. This not only eliminates that need, but it allows me to look at the actual page while the brightness is changing.
