My WebID Features and Description

{The MyWebID app, available for free, saves time and journey when you need to identify yourself. Instead of presenting your identity card at the nearest post office or bank, you can simply show your ID to one of our trained employees via a secure and encrypted video connection. The only requirements are a sound internet connection (preferably WLAN), a working mobile phone camera and your valid identity card or passport. With the transaction number of your contracting partner you dial in. MyWebID then sets up the video call to our employee. By entering the TAN, which you receive from WebID during the video call, you complete the process. This usually takes just a few minutes. Our employees do their best to identify you swiftly and reliably. For this to be guaranteed, they have to follow a predefined procedure. WebID Solutions GmbH is the inventor of the video identification process and has already carried out more than 4.2 million identifications (as of May 2019).
