My WebID Customer Insights

1. After an hour and a half of my life wasted and 3 separate agents making me go through the same process, the last one told me everything was all set, and then at the end of the call Lidl said the activation process for my sim card failed, my data will be deleted, and I have to start the activation process all over again.

2. Maybe they're paid by the number of calls "served" this way? (To be fair, after another long wait, the second agent was more helpful, so 3 stars.)This app is garbage!! First, they only speak German even though they claim to speak other languages but that is the least of their problems.

3. I managed to find a normal person that would talk to me like a human but we couldn't finish because we took to long (3 min or something) and the system wouldn't accept my tan! I ended calling again they hanged up! So never again! Humiliating!!!!could not understand what the (bored and non-friendly) workers want from me.

4. Face ID to compare the Passport picture, make close to the phone camera , don't put your face to be to small in the frame, and follow the instructions and slowly move your Head.

5. After I managed to finish the call the lady told me that no pass was not the last model even though I told her that I used the same pass 6 days ago! 3.

6. Poorly thought through.Very bad service: - If you turn on the speaker to hear well, the agent hears an echo, so you must use the phone speaker without putting it on your ear.

7. they ask to see me, see the ID, then wave a finger near the picture, change camera etc., they get annoyed if you are not prepared for such weird instructions and hang up.

8. - You need to try several times until it works (low photo resolution, bad sound, no confirmation SMS sent ...)ID Passport hold and don't move to much, next page same.

9. Waited for about 10 minutes to start the identification.Easy and straightforward process of Identification.

10. The service is the opposite of fine: I waited for more than half an hour to get connected, without an indication of the average wait time or the position in the queue.

11. Then because it's is at bottom of screen, your eyes are practically closed when your trying to read the instructions, to it can't get a good image of you.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix My WebID Issues

1. Fix My WebID Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart My WebID: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the My WebID App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "My WebID" » Open My WebID » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for My WebID » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear My WebID app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from My WebID servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "My WebID" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check My WebID app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, My WebID might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall My WebID. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall My WebID then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing My WebID not working


2. Fix My WebID Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make My WebID be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to My WebID not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, My WebID may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
