WorkWhile Customer Insights

1. It would be great if the app also finds work while you are traveling instead of just checking the address you usedAll jobs are full and only have option to join the wait list, even after joining the wait list whenever an opening is available I'll get a push notification via text message saying that a spot had opened up and when I click the link in tge message the app opens but it shows no open jobs in my app..this has happened at least 8 times in the last 2 weeks.

2. I'll get the text about waitlist spot opening up and click the link the second I receive it, app opens, shows no open jobs...beyond irritating...This is really the worst gigs app I've used.

3. my location I guess has a specific employer in the area, that I worked for yesterday and the process was smooth, no problems on my end, gps location was good and everything else aswell.In the app it says the funds will be available 24 hours after you complete the shift which is pretty much accurate I got a notification telling my my funds were available ot was roughly 23 hours since I clocked out.

4. oh and if anyone is trying you don't clock out for lunch the supervisor handles it.It seems like a good but every time I open the jobs tab the app force closes.

5. However I wish there were more jobs available in my local area instead of far out of the way.

6. It's not a big deal if you drive and have a car, but I imagine that for someone who doesn't it limits the jobs you can book and get to as most of the jobs posted start at 8am (if not earlier).

7. Other than that, it's a pretty solid app.It states there are No jobs in my area AFTER I set up and interview.

8. This was a frustrating waste of time.Very frustrating when trying to input the date and theadropdown arrows do nothing.

9. The message was they will email or text when something is in my area.

10. Of course I misssed it as the app showed an error message and doesn't allow you to do anything.

11. Trying touching the actual date, but cannot change the month.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix WorkWhile Issues

1. Fix WorkWhile Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart WorkWhile: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the WorkWhile App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "WorkWhile" » Open WorkWhile » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for WorkWhile » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear WorkWhile app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from WorkWhile servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "WorkWhile" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check WorkWhile app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, WorkWhile might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall WorkWhile. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall WorkWhile then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing WorkWhile not working


2. Fix WorkWhile Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make WorkWhile be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to WorkWhile not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, WorkWhile may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I need to get the money that is in my account I didn’t know that you have to request to cash out, when other companies if you enter your bank account info it goes directly into your bank account so why I choose to directly deposit it in my bank account… But it’s in my WorkWhile account and I can’t get it due to them blocking my account… Why is it so hard for workwhile to just unblocked my account so I can cash out and get my money after that they can reblock it…

  • Hello,
    Today I worked for Axlehire through your app. I thought I logged in but I gusse there was a problem. I was on time,in fact I was early. I arrived at 8:09(my start time was 8:30). I got my route and loaded it up and got around the corner and saw that my log in didn't register so I drive back to the hub to login it was then a little after 9. You can check with axlehire and see I was on time. If you could please fix my on time profile to reflect this I would greatly appreciate it. I will in the future confirm that my login processes before I leave the hub so I do not run into this issue again. I appreciate any help you can offer.

  • I was waiting to get paid tonight at 10:30 from work while an I had a issue with the reffearl bonus not showing up on my profile an so I message customer service about it an waited for a reply an sent another message an I haven't heard anything from them an then my pay history disappeared on my profile I guess I mad them mad about my reffearl bonus not showing up on my account an I know for a fact it was on there. They had to of take it off an that's bullshit an now they took off my pay history from where I worked up there last night an now it's no it showing that I completed a shift so now it's not paying me for working last night that's bullshit they can not legally not pay me that's bullshit they need to pay me what is owed. I know for a fact I typed in the referral code an it was showing up on my account then it disappeared like my pay history just disappeared 30mins ago on my account as if I wasn't never up there.   • I went to clock in on WorkWhile it’s my 3rd day working and the app is fine I was schedule this shift from 10 PM to 630 and soon as I got to the job site it wouldn’t let me clock in and I had a shift for tomorrow from 2 to 10 and then Friday from 10 to 630 and I was not showing up and I wasn’t late or anything it just won’t show up my future shifts or my today’s shift and I’m confused please help me with my account

  • I was wrongly blocked by Workwhile and have sent several messages through the app with no response. I would very much like to talk to someone about this issue. I have been with Workwhile for over 8 months. Yesterday on the way to Ollie's I was involved in an accident where my truck was totaled. I was in contact the whole time with workwhile along with leaving 2 messages at Ollie's and then calling again to where I spoke with one of the supervisors letting them know what was going on. I took the health check up and my account was suspended until 2/28 then later that evening my account was blocked for no show. How can this happen when I did everything possible except canceling in app....I couldn't do that because my account was already suspended. I feel that I have been unfairly blocked and have sent several messages through app with no response. I would like to have my account unblocked as it was wrongly blocked

  • I don't know what is going on with this app but yesterday I was at work if you check the GPS you'll see that I was on that job site at 12:30 sitting in the parking lot and I'll work the full schedule 2:00 to 10:30 my super Travis can verify that he said he was going to call you guys now I'm supposed to be working today and this is getting a little bit perturbed.   • I recently got a new phone for Christmas and it's an Android instead of the iPhone I was using so it's complete new number and everything and I'm trying to install workwhile and I had to make a new account to actually get through to support and I told support about it and they advised me that they would deactivate it the account but put my number with it and they never did. But the real issue is nothing's coming up when I uninstall and reinstall it I've done it three times and every time I try to click on the app it says something's wrong with the server. I have plenty of space on my phone there is no update available on the Play store. I'm trying to get a head start on all my w-2s or w4s whatever I need and I cannot do that if I cannot log in. I need to work a couple more gigs this month but I cannot do that if I cannot log in I don't know who to talk to or how. Support is only offered through the app

  • Yes, I have an existing Account with WorkWhile and I was trying to verify my Email for my Tax Purposes and I couldn’t find where to verify me email so I signed out to see if it would show my email but it didn’t. When I tried to log back in using the email and password I believe I used for my Account it keeps saying my account might have been deleted. My b number is 512-542-4835, I've had it for many years and never had a problem using it when needed online before.
