WorkWhile Customer Insights

1. It would be great if the app also finds work while you are traveling instead of just checking the address you usedAll jobs are full and only have option to join the wait list, even after joining the wait list whenever an opening is available I'll get a push notification via text message saying that a spot had opened up and when I click the link in tge message the app opens but it shows no open jobs in my app..this has happened at least 8 times in the last 2 weeks.

2. I'll get the text about waitlist spot opening up and click the link the second I receive it, app opens, shows no open jobs...beyond irritating...This is really the worst gigs app I've used.

3. my location I guess has a specific employer in the area, that I worked for yesterday and the process was smooth, no problems on my end, gps location was good and everything else aswell.In the app it says the funds will be available 24 hours after you complete the shift which is pretty much accurate I got a notification telling my my funds were available ot was roughly 23 hours since I clocked out.

4. oh and if anyone is trying you don't clock out for lunch the supervisor handles it.It seems like a good but every time I open the jobs tab the app force closes.

5. However I wish there were more jobs available in my local area instead of far out of the way.

6. It's not a big deal if you drive and have a car, but I imagine that for someone who doesn't it limits the jobs you can book and get to as most of the jobs posted start at 8am (if not earlier).

7. Other than that, it's a pretty solid app.It states there are No jobs in my area AFTER I set up and interview.

8. This was a frustrating waste of time.Very frustrating when trying to input the date and theadropdown arrows do nothing.

9. The message was they will email or text when something is in my area.

10. Of course I misssed it as the app showed an error message and doesn't allow you to do anything.

11. Trying touching the actual date, but cannot change the month.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix WorkWhile Issues

1. Fix WorkWhile Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart WorkWhile: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the WorkWhile App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "WorkWhile" » Open WorkWhile » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for WorkWhile » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear WorkWhile app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from WorkWhile servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "WorkWhile" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check WorkWhile app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, WorkWhile might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall WorkWhile. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall WorkWhile then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing WorkWhile not working


2. Fix WorkWhile Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make WorkWhile be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to WorkWhile not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, WorkWhile may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • Hello my name is Darius I signed up for workwhile but my shift got canceled because of my background check. At this time I am 28 years old I got in trouble during my teenage years I just want to work and make a honest liveing. I made a bad decision when I was a child I think it's unfair that I have to suffer for that currently eventho that has been over a decade ago.   • My account was blocked yesterday 4/21 at Worldpac- La Habra #9822 because of a No-Show up. Contrary to this, I was present for this shift and worked the shift the same day. The timesheet organiser and supervisor did not get my name into the timesheet or probably forgot to.
    I have already contacted the teams at the Worldpac- La Habra #9822 to report this issue and complain to them that my account was blocked as a result of this error in miscommunication.
    They also told me to hold up till Monday as the supervisor of the worksite isn't available on Saturdays and this could only be rectified on Monday. Also, I let them know that they have to report back to Workwhile team and have this issue resolved on both ends, so that my account can be unlocked.
    I was present for this shift and worked this shift. Please let all parties be aware of this.

  • I made the mistake, but I am asking for work while to allow me back into app. The app continued to refresh when I went to cancel shift. I thought that I could still work it late so I tried to make it, but couldn't. I worked the next day sick, but I have been blocked by work while as a "No call No show". I would like for my case to be reviewed and spoken to employer about because I don't want to be blocked. I have been working with them for 7 days and doing a great job. My fever was over 101 and I passed out after trying to cancel shift. I thought it was done and I didn't know until later it wasn't. I'm a good worker. Please someone help so that I can continue on. Again, I worked sick to prevent from losing work.

  • I would say Good Morning, but it is the afternoon now. I have been trying to get in touch with someone all morning bc I was not aware that I had to make a shift this morning and I spoke with the Supervisor about me not knowing of the shift and that I spoke with here about the issue she said she could do anything about taking me off her roster. I woke up feeling terrible bc of the rain and cold weather I didn’t wanna get anybody sick. About my phone though I use two and my main phone was acting very funny while I was trying to get my account sorted out yesterday bc it wouldn’t let me clock-in. On that phone my screen I cracked badly the screen never stays on one page too long and has black crater looking holes on it, so it is very hard to do thing on it. But Mrs. Jessica Juarez the supervisor whom I spoke with said if you guys needed to reach out to her about me speaking with her you guys could do that and she would confirm. Thank you So Much!

  • Hi,

    I have been corresponding with one of your agents regarding an app issue and it is not being resolved. I have done everything on my end to correct or troubleshoot the issue and it is still unresolved. I know two people using this app and I would like to be one of the. Originally, my account was blocked for 90 because I missed orientation. However, the same issue still persists. When I try to enter the orientation, the app will not allow me to or the orientation screen is black. I have taken many snapshots of this and sent them to the agent. I have also deleted redownloaded the app numerous times. I have spoken to apple support and they are not able to resolve the issue because I have no other problems downloading an app from the apple store. No other app malfunctions like this one on my phone. I have an Iphone 7 plus. But I have also downloaded the app onto my Lenovo Tablet. I get the same message. when I use my email I get the same message something went wrong. Is it possible to delete my account and create a new one? Can someone assist me? The app is currently stuck on the orientation page from my last scheduled orientation 10/6/22.

  • I worked from 7am until 12pm on Tuesday August 16th 2022. At the end of my shift when i tried to clock out the app said i was blocked with no further information. My phone was not recovered immediately after the wreck so I was unable to log in and tell them that I couldn’t attend because I was injured and going to the hospital.   • Hello, my account was banned, but I let the company I was working for know I couldn’t make it. My phone was having difficulties loading the app, so I wasn’t able to cancel the shift on the app. However, I have proof as to why I wasn’t able to show up. My cars oil was leaking all over, and I was told my grandma had covid that morning. I was with her the day before, and I ended up having my covid test come back positive a few days later. I can send my positive covid result, and I can send proof of me paying for the car to get fixed. Please assist me with this issue if possible. I’m a hard working college student that would love to work through this app!

  • I was banned from the sight for a no show and I was there, I even have proof that I was there. They said they were going to check with the supervisor but they didn’t because I checked in with him and they wrote my name down 2 times on the notebook one to check me in and the other to put me in a group.
