There should be a "ping my trap" button that sends back a signal all is well: Trap is armed, battery is x percentI was all set to give the worst of reviews but after hours of troubleshooting, I got the thing to work, here's how: I tried to do the normal connect my rat trap to the internet setup and it kept failing, then I realized that it had succeeded but the app didn't become aware of this and it would time out waiting for the rat trap to connect and report back that it had done so.

4. Says the trap is online and connected to the wifi when the router it is connected to is unplugged.

5. Now, it gets as far as successfully connecting to the trap's wifi, and then hangs at 'something went wrong'.

6. It took me about 2 min to set up the trap and get connected to WiFi.

7. They tried walking me through the exact same steps then sent me a new trap since they couldn't get it to link either.

8. Also, it's clear that the rat trap only goes online no matter what it says, when it has something to report, such as a kill.

9. Exit out of the setup and you will find that your rat trap is there but most likely it will be reporting that it is offline.

10. The trap armed and caught a mouse within 12 hours and I got the alert.

11. I try to explain and they just keep reading down the chart.3 hours later and I have been able to get one out of many smart traps connected.

1. Fix Victor Pest Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Victor Pest: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Victor Pest App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Victor Pest" » Open Victor Pest » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Victor Pest » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Victor Pest app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Victor Pest servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Victor Pest" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Victor Pest app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Victor Pest might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Victor Pest. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Victor Pest then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Victor Pest not working

2. Fix Victor Pest Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Victor Pest be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Victor Pest not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Victor Pest may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
