Washington Post Customer Insights

1. The app let's you follow certain writers, which is a godsend because the app is otherwise very weak in terms of both search and discovery (use search to try to find an author or a column and the results are reliably terrible, showing either years-old content or none at all).hard to read, not an improvement over prior tablet version.

2. Now opens with glaring white and you can barely read itI love the journalism, but I have a visual/cognitive impairment that prevents me from being able to focus on/read text while there is movement on the page.

3. The resizable option should be removed until it actually works. The standards are slipping, but The Post still offers real vetted and edited investigative journalism, which is rarer and rarer these days, and worth paying for.

4. The worst part, I just took out a year subscription, thinking that the online version was the real paper, but it is the same as the free online, none of the perks of an e-version of the print, for which the app is needed.

5. In the new app the headline fonts are all over the spectrum, and the layout is visually complicated, giving me the impression that WP is attempting to direct me to the stories it wants me to read, rather than allowing me to easily determine that myself.

6. Get rid of flashy, blinky, video ads and I will gladly subscribe again (I'll even pay more for the ability to remove the ads!).Great app but you have to stop sending it back to page one with every little news change.

7. So then I have to switch tabs/menus/whatever and scroll to find the article of interest (which, BTW, might also have an alternative title, so that adds another layer of frustration).

8. If you select phone or tablet, you will get a phone or tablet size window on a chromebook but it will not fill the screen.

9. It was so easy to scroll through the old "split screen" presentation to find articles of interest.

10. I just want to get the news that I'm paying to read.

11. Says unavailable, but The Guardian and other apps have no problem. One more problem, the original app opened with a dark blue background.
