WD ReadyView Customer Insights

1. There should be at least two security access levels (e.g. admin & users) I did not like that on each phone the app ask to setup the system by scanning the QR code, even though the system was already up and running There should be a way to find the WD NVRand sign in when it has been already setup.

2. I might get notifications for a couple of hours, then no more for days, even though cameras are recording & saving video. If you are thinking of buying the 4k system, or already have it - you're SOL with this app.

3. I purchased a third party app and I'm going to set it up to work via the onvif interface. The cameras are great (4MP), even at night, but the app/notifications need work.

4. The only portion of this system that has been OK is the hardware.Still testing but reluctant to wire up the cameras due to so many issues.

5. WD - you need to fix this situation asap, it's a nightmare right now...Could you please fix the system recordings tab? It's been broken for months.

6. You could also connected a mouse to one of the WD NVR USB ports and access the interface from a monitor or TV.App lacks a bit of control and now is defaulting to standard definition vs eco mode.

7. The only way I can view past recordings is to go to the alert manager and find an alert for the camera I want to view.

8. Full setup requires access through Only Internet Explorer due to being Java based apparently.

9. I have reinstalled the app and cleared cache but I still cannot get system recordings to load.

10. Worst of all, the NVR and app don't even support 4K recording or streaming - so what's the point of a 4K camera?? These systems are made by Uniview, and their EZView app is MUCH better, as is their desktop software.

11. I would not purchase this system again. Can we go back to the version that worked when I first got it? It says the latest update has bug fixes.
