1. I thought this app was going to allow viewing my mobile phone content such as video player on the seat back monitor, but all the app does is to turn your phone into a remote control for the monitor, quite disappointing and not sure there is much point to use the app.

2. Useless, brainless.Missing the obvious function of letting user stream/cast content from their apps onto seatback screen (i.e. from Netflix, Disney+, YouTube)You cannot even use your own headphones through your phone.

3. Please can the developers allow phone use onto the monitor in the next versionNext level inflight experience... But how? I don't get it, my device is connected and then what, the seat screen is big enough anyway.

4. It thought it will kind of share notification from the phone on the seat screen if wifi was available onboard but not even.

5. I got so excited thinking that id be able to use my own headphones, and cast my screen to the seatback screen.No association button.

6. It features only as a remote control for a screen 30 cm away from my face.

10. So you ask why even develop such an app ?Doesn't recognize Cebu as a destination so can't see what entertainment is available on my flight there.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Companion Entertainment Issues

1. Fix Companion Entertainment Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Companion Entertainment: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Companion Entertainment App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Companion Entertainment" » Open Companion Entertainment » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Companion Entertainment » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Companion Entertainment app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Companion Entertainment servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Companion Entertainment" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Companion Entertainment app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Companion Entertainment might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Companion Entertainment. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Companion Entertainment then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Companion Entertainment not working


2. Fix Companion Entertainment Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Companion Entertainment be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Companion Entertainment not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Companion Entertainment may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
