1. You can pair the music playback connection by hitting the Bluetooth button on the amp and scanning for devices in the phone's settings like you normally would for another speaker.As is right now (12/12/22), the app is pretty much unusable on Pixel 7 and Android 13.
2. Today I went to use the app on my Galaxy S21 Ultra, and every time I click the Bluetooth icon to pair my Amp with my phone, the app crashes, so now I have no options to control the amp remotelyI have had this amp for almost a year and still very happy with it.
3. To access your amps settings, press the dial icon in the top right of the app, press the pair button on the amp, and it should show up as a Bluetooth MIDI device.
4. If you have to restart either your mobile device, the THR amp, the Bluetooth connection, or both at different times, in order to pair via Bluetooth, the app is not functional.Can't connect to the device through the app.
5. Shame on you Yamaha! Edit: update to the amp seems to have resolved connectivity issues although the update notes never tell you that.
6. I'm using a galaxy s9+ and have no issues connecting via Bluetooth.

11. I'm also not a fan of the fact that you need the app to access certain features/sounds/effects, but that's more a complaint of the amp's design not the app.Nice way to change sounds without having to get up.
