Spotlight Customer Insights

1. It's actually relaunched itself 3 times while I've been writing this review??? Won't be using it anymore.having trouble with the asset trackers which is to be expected from inexperienced installer (me) and the new equipment.

2. I also think they could improve their handoff on service issues.This app use to be alright, but then after an update a few months ago when they made us switch from the old app it began freezing all the time.

3. The main issue that frustrates me is half the time it doesn't open, you have to click on it and close it a few times to load up correctly.Shame I can't get lower than 1 star.

4. Terrible loading speed (if it works at all) for something I NEED to work throughout the day.It shows me basically the same thing that the reveal map shows.

5. App not designed for larger font sizes, but otherwise good.Not only does this app open even on a simple swipe, it can't even keep itself logged in for more than a couple hours.

6. Have tried everything to stop it (force stop, uninstall and reinstall, update) but nothing works with my Android phone.

7. Don't waste your money on this fleet tracking junk from VerizonVery annoying app! Once you launch it, use it and go out, it will continue to re- launch itself.

8. originally I was told I would have technical support available around the clock; however, I feel like my definition of around the clock is different from theirs bc they're apparently not available for weekends.

9. Used to be an okay app, but the past year or so I can't get it to open & load more than once or twice, then I have to uninstall, then reinstall to get it to work.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Spotlight Issues

1. Fix Spotlight Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Spotlight: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Spotlight App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Spotlight" » Open Spotlight by Verizon Connect » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Spotlight » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Spotlight by Verizon Connect app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Spotlight servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Spotlight by Verizon Connect" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Spotlight app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Spotlight might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Spotlight. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Spotlight then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Spotlight not working


2. Fix Spotlight Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Spotlight be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Spotlight not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Spotlight may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
