1. All I need to do to send a video or photo to Snagit, it to save it from my phone to my laptop, or any other computer, then upload them to Screencast, then download to Snagit, or other program to edit it.Like many of those reviewing thiks app, I'm very disappointed with it.

2. I can't use the file transfer option as my home PC network is hardwire based with wireless for phones and pads.Excellent service from the team who addressed the problem which had caused the app not to work on certain phones (including mine).

3. Super easy and helpful.The permissions to get device history and the app installed on it is very fishy The app does not work properly on Android 10, you get a message right after you open the app that says it's meant for older Android versions.

4. I can now connect it to my account and immediately to my open open camtasia to add to a production so I'm really excited about that!Requires permissions that are unnecessary and you must be on the same wifi network.

5. I love that it permits me to make a phone-camera video and move it right into my Camtasia editor, and that it does the same with my library of photos stored on my phone as well.

6. I was able to easily connect my phone to Snag-It on my laptop and quickly share an image from my phone to my Snag-It editor.

7. With the program open go to Connect Mobile Device under File and the app will scan the barcode.

8. That last one make useless for work as my company doesn't allow phones on the network.

9. Also I didn't do what I expected it to do, it transferred images from my phone to my pc only not the other way around.

10. A real time-saver over using other transfer methods, in that it connects directly to the Camtasia application on the PC.

11. As with others I'm a long time snag it user on my desktop units as both a screen catcher and photo editor.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix TechSmith Fuse Issues

1. Fix TechSmith Fuse Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart TechSmith Fuse: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the TechSmith Fuse App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "TechSmith Fuse" » Open TechSmith Fuse » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for TechSmith Fuse » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear TechSmith Fuse app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from TechSmith Fuse servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "TechSmith Fuse" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check TechSmith Fuse app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, TechSmith Fuse might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall TechSmith Fuse. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall TechSmith Fuse then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing TechSmith Fuse not working


2. Fix TechSmith Fuse Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make TechSmith Fuse be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to TechSmith Fuse not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, TechSmith Fuse may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
