Smart Recorder Customer Insights

1. It results in a badly recorded audio which has lot of distortions.A good smart recording app, enables high quality recordings with an option to skip silence.

2. It will be good if cut/edit features are added.This use to be my favourite...but now, its not...my recording keeps cutting by it self, and also my recording keeps breaking each time...i have used two different devices with same app but no difference...pls work on it.Unreliable and bad app.

7. I've only used it once but out of all the other recording apps I have which are plenty this one is up there near the top so far as I can tell I'll let you know more the deeper I delve into it but so far, 3 1/2 - 4 stars.

8. it clips a LOT tho! I freestyle & use these apps often just for thst & it clips during bars & I'm not even hitting the pause button and then resuming.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Smart Recorder Issues

1. Fix Smart Recorder Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Smart Recorder: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Smart Recorder App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Smart Recorder" » Open Smart Recorder : TapeVoice » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Smart Recorder » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Smart Recorder : TapeVoice app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Smart Recorder servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Smart Recorder : TapeVoice" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Smart Recorder app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Smart Recorder might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Smart Recorder. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Smart Recorder then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Smart Recorder not working


2. Fix Smart Recorder Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Smart Recorder be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Smart Recorder not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Smart Recorder may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
