1. That you can play one recording & record with it running in the background makes Smart Voice Recorder top notch! The hassle of exporting & importing the files when you get a new phone is why this isn't a 5-star app, & it won't be until that situation is readdressed.

2. Not everyone has computers these days so losing a phone or one becoming inoperable means saying goodbye to all recordings on that device unless otherwise backed up.This app is great and helps me a lot in the last three(?) years, especially for being hard of hearing.

3. For some reason there has been an insane lag randomly when pressing the record button and it actually recording, sometimes a few seconds, which means the beginnings of recordings get cut off.

4. 🤔 I wonder what other little jewels I'll find?I had not used the smart voice recorder often on my old LG phone, but noticed it was installed along with other apps when I bought a new Samsung phone.

5. This time I'm trying to be more conscious of where the files are stored and will make it a point to give them meaningful names.This recorder is great to use when recording jam sessions & songs.

6. Here lately I've noticed that after so long of it working where I could send 2 minute long videos or less now if anything's more than 30 seconds people are texting me back saying they can't play the recording.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Smart Voice Recorder Issues

1. Fix Smart Voice Recorder Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Smart Voice Recorder: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Smart Voice Recorder App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Smart Voice Recorder" » Open Smart Voice Recorder » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Smart Voice Recorder » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Smart Voice Recorder app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Smart Voice Recorder servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Smart Voice Recorder" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Smart Voice Recorder app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Smart Voice Recorder might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Smart Voice Recorder. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Smart Voice Recorder then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Smart Voice Recorder not working
