If you can get by the initial sticker shock of the cost when first purchasing a Philips Hue bridge starter kit and some further expenditures with applications afterward, all in all, I find the cost to be completely justifiable, especially once you start getting the hang of it, I found that has been worth every penny when you begin to reap the benefits of the items purchased.

6. On the flip side, if you have a going to sleep effect and want certain bulbs to turn off, even if they are off in the scene that is part of the effect, if they were once on, they stay on.

7. Now I have to scroll through hundreds of alarm settings for ALL my lights to find the one I'm looking to change or turn on or off.

8. You can't group lights from different bridges, but unlike the Philips Hue app, you can see all groups without having to go to settings and swap bridges.

9. It's well worth the price in my opinion.One of my all-time favorite apps just took a major turn for the worst.

1. Fix Hue Essentials Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Hue Essentials: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Hue Essentials App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Hue Essentials" » Open Hue Essentials » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Hue Essentials » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Hue Essentials app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Hue Essentials servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Hue Essentials" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Hue Essentials app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Hue Essentials might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Hue Essentials. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Hue Essentials then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Hue Essentials not working

2. Fix Hue Essentials Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Hue Essentials be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Hue Essentials not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Hue Essentials may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
