PICA Customer Insights

1. Waiting for a response on whether or not they can fix the raw format issue for sony.Wouldn't open any of my Nikon, Sony, or Panasonic filesI thought the noise feature meant this can remove low light noise.

2. If I try to upload image from flash drive the app says it can not load the image.I am trying to load .NRW files from a Nikon P7000, which is supposedly supported.

3. I have tried several, and just get a message that says "Failed to load the image!"Guys have done a great job by making this app.

4. Everytime I try to load an image file (CR2) to try and edit the App crashes.

5. But when you edit the raw format taken from mobile, you get great volume.

6. I will check this app as soon as you updated.App claims to be able to edit RAW images from Canon EOS Rebel T5i.

7. The reason i gave 2 stars is that i couldn't save the photo after i spend time editing it.

8. It works where Photoshop Express don't, every RAW format.

9. It says "save error" fix it and make it less laggy too.

10. Just need to add HSL and Tone Curves panel.

11. Some people can't afford expensive camera like me.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix PICA Issues

1. Fix PICA Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart PICA: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the PICA App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "PICA" » Open PICA - Photo Raw Editor » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for PICA » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear PICA - Photo Raw Editor app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from PICA servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "PICA - Photo Raw Editor" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check PICA app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, PICA might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall PICA. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall PICA then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing PICA not working


2. Fix PICA Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make PICA be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to PICA not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, PICA may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
