Smart Customer Insights

1. Now I'm locked out even after entering the password I've been using form the beginning.I'm always getting the "preparing" message that ends up in an error prompt.

2. That app is not devoid of errors but better......Update: I had to email the address and it still doesnt work after all the tasks they made me do.Suddenly stopped accepting payments for my bill when it was working just fine for months.

3. I've been trying to pay my bill for a few days now and I'm always getting a "payment failed" with no explanation why or even a contact info for customer service.

4. And there is no "forgot password" feature for anything thus, making things harder in emergencies or in the event that someone forgets their password.always too slow loading when opening the app 😅 always had to turn off my data just to proceed to the mainscreen.

5. It is very annoying that sometimes you have to input the mobile number and password in order to log-in to your account, why not add a biometrics feature to this app just like the other network did.

6. Is this a bug or an error on the app? I just received a text that some of my points are still valid until the end of this month but my gigapoints on the app are not shown, it just shows two lines.

7. I tried other location on my travels and all are giving good services just the one near me from where i live - is the one which seems to lose its service right at 1:00 pm till 10:00 pm everyday.

8. The service is also unfair as it only give Unli Data promo to old sim cards and to make it worse, they gave the Gigapoints an expiration date.

9. Thank you for the wonderful experience.You should update your app that shows when a SIM is already registered just like what the other network is doing to avoid confusion.

10. Then they add an additional charge for the bill being late.I couldn't share points, load, and data.

11. The team never contacted me again after sending them an email.It's STILL been a relative hassle to register the SIM.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Smart Issues

1. Fix Smart Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Smart: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Smart App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Smart" » Open Smart » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Smart » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Smart app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Smart servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Smart" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Smart app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Smart might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Smart. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Smart then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Smart not working


2. Fix Smart Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Smart be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Smart not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Smart may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

    On 01/03/2023 at 5:44 AM, I attempted to make a payment of P144.42 for my Signature Plan 599 via Gigapay connected to my Maya account through the Smart application. Unfortunately, the initial attempt was unsuccessful. Subsequently, in the afternoon of the same date, I made another payment attempt, but it also proved to be unsuccessful. Upon inspecting the Maya application, I observed two successful transactions for my Signature Plan 599. Could you please review these transactions? Additionally, is it possible to revert one transaction and add the paid amount to my Maya fund?

  • Purchased unli data 899 on giga life app. Then after processing, a pop up saying "too many requests". Afterwards I did not get my wifi, but the amount was deducted from my gcash account.
