RAM Toolbox Customer Insights

1. The owners manual isn't great, the button takes you to a pdf that's not searchable in the app, so you have to swipe through each page till you find what you need; making the owners manual searchable, in the app, would make a big difference.the idea is great.

2. Attempted to reset password, get the notification that a reset password has been sent to my email but it never comes.

3. Not good for checking up on your vehicle, and keeping things running, is it??? Update: App has gone from some things not functioning, to it itself not functioning upon opening.

4. Add it to the list of uconnect, fiat, the new hemi engines, and any other failures you can think of.App doesn't work.

5. Tracks upcoming maintenance and you can log your maintenance/repairs to keep solid records.

6. I keep getting the same error it says "There was an error sending your data.

7. It doesn't work more than half the time, when it does work, it won't do what you want it to.

8. The only records that are showing up properly are dealership entries.The App worked great for about a week.

9. for the past couple of months it hasn't been allowing me to add the service that I perform personally.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix RAM Toolbox Issues

1. Fix RAM Toolbox Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart RAM Toolbox: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the RAM Toolbox App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "RAM Toolbox" » Open RAM Toolbox » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for RAM Toolbox » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear RAM Toolbox app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from RAM Toolbox servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "RAM Toolbox" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check RAM Toolbox app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, RAM Toolbox might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall RAM Toolbox. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall RAM Toolbox then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing RAM Toolbox not working


2. Fix RAM Toolbox Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make RAM Toolbox be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to RAM Toolbox not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, RAM Toolbox may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
