1. Pedi-STAT is a rapid reference for RNs, paramedics, physicians and other healthcare professionals caring for pediatric patients in the emergency or critical care environment.
2. With just a few taps, users have access to all the necessary data to care for a pediatric patient in the emergent setting, including weight-based and age specific medication dosages and equipment sizes.
3. Developed by an Emergency Physician, this app minimizes the risk of medical errors allowing the provider to spend more time caring for the patient, and less time looking up and calculating doses.
4. Since many of the patients present with minimal known information, all the results can be calculated rapidly with only a known age, date-of-birth, weight, length, or height.
5. Users can quickly access critical information accurately, without having to rely on memory or cumbersome textbooks.
6. Simply enter the known variable and the data is instantly calculated.
7. It is a critical companion for any physician, nurse, paramedic, or medical trainee involved in the care of critically ill pediatric patients.
1. Awesome support. The app stopped working and I can not get it to restartAmazing customer service! The developer is prompt in responding to your issues! I like the app and have found great use for it this past year from nursing student to now transitioning to the bedside as a nurse! I do recommend this app!!I am a paramedic and this ap helps recall dosages and vitals on emergencies.
2. I love that you don't need internet access to use it too.App isn't working.A lifesaver when figuring out (and double-checking, because we're sleep deprived!) The dosages of various meds.can really use a search function to find quick dosages of specific drugs you need rather than scrolling through lists. Not bad.
3. Would also be nice to have a favorites section to be able to aggregate more common meds and equipment I use into one section. Some of the medication doses are incorrect.
4. Bought the app worked once and ever since all the app does is say pedistat is loading please wait and never actually loads.
5. Waste of $7 which sucks as I've heard all but good things about the app.Not working since the update.
6. We don't get a lot of pediatric calls so it makes a great reference.
7. Update: contacted pedista and they resolved the issue within a day.
8. The infant dose is larger then the child dose.
9. Does not open.
10. Loads forever.
11. I've tried reinstalling the app.
