Peacock TV Customer Insights

1. So to skip to the next episode you have to exit playback, then search the show from the menu because you can't view settings or episode list from the "continue watching" interface, and scroll to find the next episode.

2. Truly pathetic.I like this app but in terms of usability it's very basic, it has an auto play function which on TV you cannot turn off, it starts playing shows you don't want to watch on auto play and you cannot remove those shows from queue your only option is to fast forward to remove.

3. If this app is trying to be the next Hulu or Netflix it has to try a lot harder because the only reason I use it is to watch Bravo shows but it's functionality leaves a lot to be designed.User interface completely disappears during ads, and this app is a huge fan of cutting off the last 10 seconds with an ad.

4. The cast button doesn't appear about 40% of the time, there's no easy way to see series details from the continue watching screen, and the interface is oversized and makes browsing content irritating at best.

5. Many episodes freeze in the middle and then guess what, because you can't get the episode to load, you can't get to the menu options to maybe just skip that ep and move onto the next one.

6. You have to start watching an episode just to get to the menu options for that show, stupid.

7. Being able to change the quality to 240p or what-have-you allows you to conserve your precious data, and stream far more content.I download the app and had to cancel it before the month was over.

8. I have at least six other apps that do the same thing without issue.This streaming service already doesn't need to exist, but the app is somehow even worse than the content library.

9. Now, if I'm watching a show at least 6 times during ONE EPISODE, it kicks back to the main page or out of the app completely.

10. My internet connection is very strong, and not being able to get through one show without issues is ridiculous!!! I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, with no improvement.

11. The autoplay repeats episodes, has skipped back episodes at a time, or lagged and just closed the show.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Peacock TV Issues

1. Fix Peacock TV Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Peacock TV: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Peacock TV App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Peacock TV" » Open Peacock TV: Stream TV & Movies » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Peacock TV » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Peacock TV: Stream TV & Movies app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Peacock TV servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Peacock TV: Stream TV & Movies" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Peacock TV app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Peacock TV might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Peacock TV. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Peacock TV then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Peacock TV not working


2. Fix Peacock TV Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Peacock TV be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Peacock TV not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Peacock TV may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • Where do you get your shows from the garbage? These are the shows on the bottom of the barrel. Where are shows such as Chuck, Blossom, friends, Seinfeld, Mad about you? No wonder your network is in last place. My friend asked if she should get Peacock and I told her it has the worst programming ever. i told her it was junk you get on the bottom of the barrel.

  • Hello at Peacock,

    On my existing account, I’ve lately been very disappointed to discover an inability to turn off subtitles on all Peacock basic programming.
    It seems that the subtitles have been pre-set as a default that I am unable to override. While my searching has indicated that the icons appearing in the lower left of the streaming program content may be utilized to “turn on” subtitles, suggesting the ability to turn them off as well, I am unable to select those icons (on my Apple iTV gen. IV module).

    Any suggestions would be most welcome.

    Okay, this is going to be rough as I’m truly not a fan of Peacock! I got stuck with it because WWE Decided to (Disrespect by Screwing) their U.S. customers out of a choice , in either staying with the WWE app which millions of us have had since it came out! Or, switching over to you - which - is wrong! If you live outside the U.S. it still works! Not to worry, I wrote them about how I feel about it because Peacock has made watching WWE pay previews, like (Hell In a Cell) an absolute PAIN to Watch, always! You either have to be on the site at the start or wait until it allows you to rewatch it - which is - Crap! There is , no restarting any of it, even if, you are a few minutes late! And this is bullcrap - this also goes for the kick-off show! The other problem is - when it does start - it takes forever - to load - so - you miss the action until….
    And other Complaint, I have with Peacock tv. The (watchlist) is absolutely dumb. It should be customizable - Your Name, category and searchable - and on the home page. Oh! Yea, when adding a collection of movies, you need to have an add (collection) button.
    Last but not least - you need - customer service and feedback on your Peacock Tv Site became looking for real help is also a major - Pain-In-The-Ass!

  • We initially wanted the plus subscription. After using the free trial we decidied to upgrade to the premium. On the same day we were charged the plus and the premium rate and it cleared my card. We need to be reimbursed for the plus plan and make sure the issue is corrected so we don’t get double charged next month.

  • I have spent HOURS trying to find someone to help with issue. No service. How to report problem? Told Pw not correct, new one. New one over and over, never right. Misdirected to numerous areas that are totally incorrect. Then msg that account issue. I paid for one year...Peacock is paid. I also have Cox and one other supposed to get subscriptions. Where is the help? It is a complete waste of time and the worst service ever. I even tried to cancel and was not able to do so. Not one thing seems to work except the continued screw ups. I intend to report these issues to the FCC and any other place i can find. It is a total rip off and a waste of time. I estimate i have spent more than 30 hours trying to get this system to work.   • Why am I unable to get past the Who's Watching Adult Profile page until later in the afternoon when I am chewing my fingernails that I am going to miss a scheduled event on WWE and I get to watch it about four minutes into the event when you finally realize I have an account then I am actually paying for but can't use??

  • I am not happy with my peacock account. We only have peacock to watch our pay per views for Wwe smack down and nxt. It was much easier to just have the Wwe app on our smart tv. It was also a lot more easier to navigate around. You should of left Wwe where it was. You are trying to do too much too fast. I wish the WWE would go back to its own app. I would be much happier than paying for this.

  • I have a Samsung smart tv. I like the Documentary "48 Hours" app, that Peacock has in their menu app Selection. However, as I am enjoying watching "48 Hours" show. It automatically stops then it goes back to the APP. Then I have to go back and press continue, to finish watching the episode of "48 Hours". I been having this problem with the PEACOCK APP.   • I love Peacock. I would use it all the time and definitely even pay for premium. Unfortunately, I don't live in an area where it's possible to get unlimited high speed internet. My only option are through satellite or cellular hotspot. This is the case for all too many people. Your app doesn't allow users to manually adjust (lower) video quality to use less data. This means that it's just not an option. I'll have to stick to netflix and youtube even though I would have very happily given you my business.
