Peacock TV Customer Insights

1. So to skip to the next episode you have to exit playback, then search the show from the menu because you can't view settings or episode list from the "continue watching" interface, and scroll to find the next episode.

2. Truly pathetic.I like this app but in terms of usability it's very basic, it has an auto play function which on TV you cannot turn off, it starts playing shows you don't want to watch on auto play and you cannot remove those shows from queue your only option is to fast forward to remove.

3. If this app is trying to be the next Hulu or Netflix it has to try a lot harder because the only reason I use it is to watch Bravo shows but it's functionality leaves a lot to be designed.User interface completely disappears during ads, and this app is a huge fan of cutting off the last 10 seconds with an ad.

4. The cast button doesn't appear about 40% of the time, there's no easy way to see series details from the continue watching screen, and the interface is oversized and makes browsing content irritating at best.

5. Many episodes freeze in the middle and then guess what, because you can't get the episode to load, you can't get to the menu options to maybe just skip that ep and move onto the next one.

6. You have to start watching an episode just to get to the menu options for that show, stupid.

7. Being able to change the quality to 240p or what-have-you allows you to conserve your precious data, and stream far more content.I download the app and had to cancel it before the month was over.

8. I have at least six other apps that do the same thing without issue.This streaming service already doesn't need to exist, but the app is somehow even worse than the content library.

9. Now, if I'm watching a show at least 6 times during ONE EPISODE, it kicks back to the main page or out of the app completely.

10. My internet connection is very strong, and not being able to get through one show without issues is ridiculous!!! I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, with no improvement.

11. The autoplay repeats episodes, has skipped back episodes at a time, or lagged and just closed the show.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Peacock TV Issues

1. Fix Peacock TV Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Peacock TV: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Peacock TV App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Peacock TV" » Open Peacock TV: Stream TV & Movies » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Peacock TV » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Peacock TV: Stream TV & Movies app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Peacock TV servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Peacock TV: Stream TV & Movies" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Peacock TV app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Peacock TV might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Peacock TV. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Peacock TV then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Peacock TV not working


2. Fix Peacock TV Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Peacock TV be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Peacock TV not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Peacock TV may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • Although “closed captions” can be chosen and remains on for future sessions, captions do not display unless I select “pause” after the episode starts and then “play”.

    This occurs when I watch “Everybody Loves Raymond” or “Monk”. I’m guessing it works this way for all programs.

    Note that after selecting “pause” I do not need to adjust the closed caption setting in order to make the captions appear.

    This problem has been occurring for at least a month or 2 ever since I started watching Peacock.

  • The closed captions for “Everybody Loves Raymond” have a problem on all episodes. Whenever italics are displayed, there is no space before or after the word in italics.

    For example, for s8e23 at around 4:36 from the beginning, it shows
    Yeah. Wealwaysfeel bad.
    Instead of
    Yeah. We always feel bad.
    where “always” is in italics.

    This is true whether I watch the show on my Panasonic plasma TV or my iPad.

  • I have a Peacock Premium account via my Xfinity cable provider. I like Peacock but there are issues with it as follows: 1) For "Movies A-Z," it only shows the handful movies that begin with a number. In other words, one can't find those that begin with A through Z. 2) Why don't you tell us on what day a new episode of a TV show will air next on Peacock? 3) The first page of Peacock, after clicking on my TV's Apps menu, is so hard to navigate. One can't tell where the cursor is when scrolling down the page. Couldn't you at least highlight the box of a program icon instead of barely enlarging it, which is so hard to determine? 4) After setting subtitles/closed-captioning, they go away after I pause or if come back to a program I was watching earlier or on previous day. I have to keep going into your captions set-up menu when this happens. Please note that I wouldn't have bothered contacting you if I didn't like Peacock. One highlight is that you only show the commercials before the beginning of a movie, but I wish you could do the same for a TV show. :) Thanks

  • I signed up about a couple months ago under watching movies, series etc. with ads for a lesser amount than an ad free platform. I 've watched series and am told after the 4th or so episode that i must pay an additional fee of $4.99. I was informed while signing up that my cost was with ads but I will be able to watch everything on site. So what's going on? It does seem suspicious when there is no contact with this company and ratings are falling, falling and falling because of customer reviews. Now I see why. I have other apps under Prime and they're all free so I don't know how I am paying for this and now being told that if i want to see additional episodes or certain shows etc it'll cost more.

  • I wanted to let you know that your live stream for the WWE ppv was absolutely atrocious! The screen keep freezing and coming back in, sometimes with sound, sometimes without. The last hour or so was the worst! We couldn't even determine who won the matches until the sound came back on a few minutes after it was over. I sure hope you get this fixed because we watch ALL of the WWE ppv events and I sure would hate to think that I pay as much as I do for cable and not be able to watch the programming that I enjoy!
