Nationwide Customer Insights

1. They didnt even notify me that my policy was cancelled! Then they wanted $260 for reinstatement and $1,100 for lapse in coverage!? Needless to say, Ive switched Companies and saving $30 elsewhere.When I first downloaded this months ago, I was able to log in quickly.

2. Only thing that I would change is the ability to pay a portion of your amount owed monthly, instead of only allowing the total amount to be paid through auto payment on the day it's due, some may want to pay early!This app is terrible! Its almost useless.

3. The only issue I have with the app is when you make a partial payment close to your due date using more than 1 card payment, it does not show the remaining balance of what you owe during that billing period.

4. There are a few other things that aren't intuitive but overall it works and does what you want with a little time to learn the app.This app worked great at first.

5. I searched in settings/account and couldn't find the option until I was prompted when logging in one time and asked if I wanted a viewable ID card for offline use.

6. I like that I can cancel automatic payments if necessary for my bundle of car and renters but I cannot do the same with the life insurance payment.

7. First it would not let you enter your name and password unless you backed out without closing the app and then reopened it (and that didn't even work all the time).

8. App is fine, but wow my premium shot up! I have home insurance through them and enjoyed getting a good price my first year.

9. Easy to apply, great tool to help build out an insurance plan that fits your needs.

10. My phone is already locked, why can't the app be set to show insurance cards without logging in? I don't need them more than maybe once or twice per year, so it's not worth it to log in and save one in the app.

11. Easy to see how changing certain policy features effects your total bill, easy to modify your plan.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Nationwide Issues

1. Fix Nationwide Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Nationwide: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Nationwide App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Nationwide" » Open Nationwide Mobile » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Nationwide » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Nationwide Mobile app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Nationwide servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Nationwide Mobile" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Nationwide app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Nationwide might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Nationwide. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Nationwide then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Nationwide not working


2. Fix Nationwide Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Nationwide be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Nationwide not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Nationwide may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
